Job Summary for Quality Control Supervisor
The Quality Supervisor establishes department policies, control processes and quality programs within overall direction set by management; such programs ensure the quality of finished goods, work in-process and the quality of incoming materials or components. Develops and ensures that the company’s Quality Assurance audit programs, training programs and company procedures are applicable and enforced.
Job Description for Quality Control Supervisor:
• Manage and maintain the company’s quality inspection and product release programs for incoming, in-process, and finished goods.
• Formulate and manage the development and implementation of goals, objectives, policies, procedures and systems pertaining to QA/QC.
• Setting QA compliance objectives and ensuring that targets are achieved.
• Promote quality and performance improvement throughout the organization.
• Develop, implement, communicate and maintain a quality plan that ensures the company’s Quality Systems and Polices are compliant with quality system requirements.
• Effectively interact with inter-company departments to maintain product supply and help introduce new products and procedures to line employees.
• Ensure testing and procedures are properly understood, carried out and evaluated and that product modifications are investigated if necessary.
• Supervise QA staff in carrying out tests and checks.
• Identifying relevant quality-related training needs and deliver training.
• Gather relevant data and produce statistical reports.
• Writing technical and management reports.
• Set up and maintain controls and documentation procedures.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree in an applied science or engineering field
• 5 years prior experience in Quality Assurance in manufacturing setting – print environment preferred
• Experience training direct reports and line employees in procedures and techniques
• ASQ or CQM certification desired
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma and ISO helpful
• Experience in Quality Systems Audits
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Advanced knowledge of Excel
• Knowledge of Minitab desired

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is primarily in an indoor setting but may be exposed to variable temperature conditions indoor and outside. The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, and toxic or caustic chemicals. The employee must be prepared to respond to emergencies should they occur. The noise level in the environment is usually moderate.
PAY RANGE FOR QC SUPERVISOR:
$18.00hr and up DOE
SCHEDULE FOR QC SUPERVISOR:
• Monday - Friday, weekends when necessary
• 1st Shift:
5:45 am – 1:15 pm
During peak season, hours are 5:45 am - 3:45 pm
• 2nd Shift:
2:45 pm - 11:15 pm
During peak season, hours are 2:45 pm - 1:15 am
