Print Supervisor
SUMMARY OF PRINT SUPERVISOR:
National card manufacturing company is offering career opportunities to a Print Supervisor who has the primary responsibility of directing the day-to-day activities of the printing department. These activities will include continuing process improvement in the department to achieve the highest levels of quality and productivity.


REQUIREMENTS OF PRINT SUPERVISOR:
• Quality management.
• Ability to maintain safe work environments.
• Leadership: a demonstrated ability to lead people and obtain results through others.
• Planning: an ability to think ahead and plan over a 30-day time span and prepare action plans to achieve results.
• Supervision: including employee hiring and retention, performance review, coaching, counseling and corrective action.
• Measurement of performance to goals and standards.
• A strong background in the printing industry a must.
• Familiar with UV large format sheet fed Komori Printing Presses
• Must be have experience in running a large format printing press.


RESPONSIBILITIES OF PRINT SUPERVISOR:
• Meet cost objectives as provided by management.
• Analyze and implement improvements to the printing processes.
• Work with suppliers to improve the quality of raw materials and seek alternative raw material suppliers.
• Work closely with the pre-press manager to ensure that the work received from the pre-press department is of the highest quality.
• Develop sound procedures for all printing processes.
• Operate and Maintain specific print equipment.
• Ensure that all procedures are being followed and requiring accountability for work performed.
• Maintain proper inventory and staffing levels as well as track absenteeism and timekeeping.
• Work closely with the Pre-Press Manager on plate quality as well as color curves required for the process.
• Determine and implement methods to ensure consistent color and quality from job to job.
• Develop and implement plan to increase productivity in the printing department.


WORK ENVIRONMENT OF PRINT SUPERVISOR:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is primarily in an indoor setting, but may be exposed to variable temperature conditions indoor and outside (occasionally extreme heat or extreme cold). The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, and dust and/or mite hazards. The employee must be prepared to respond to emergencies should they occur. The noise level in the environment is usually moderate.

SCHEDULE & PAY RATE FOR PRINT SUPERVISOR:
• $60,000 - $65,000 / year, depending on experience
• Monday - Friday, weekends when necessary
• 1st Shift
