Counselor
Job Description and Tasks:

• Coach and advice groups and individuals on how to obtain a job
• Help students with their search for a post-graduation job
• Work to ensure that students are ready to compete in the current job market
• Manage students from one particular program or from many different ones
•Work with individuals and groups to identify skills and improve hiring potential.
•Maintain print and web Force Staffing Servicess for students and employers.
•Create a schedule of events to connect students to job opportunities and to develop skills.
•Assist in resume and application preparation and submission.
•Work with employers to create networks for internships, job shadowing and employment.

Assisting and Caring for Students — Providing personal assistance, medical attention, emotional support, or other personal care to others such as coworkers, customers, or patients.

Establishing and Maintaining Interpersonal Relationships with Students — Developing constructive and cooperative working relationships with students, and maintaining them.

Communicating with Supervisors, Peers, Subordinates and Students —
Providing information to supervisors, co-workers, and subordinates by telephone, in written form, e-mail, or in person.

Getting Information — Observing, receiving, and otherwise obtaining information from all relevant sources.

Making Decisions and Solving Problems — Analyzing information and evaluating results to choose the best solution and solve problems.

Organizing, Planning, and Prioritizing Work — Developing specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish your work.

Updating and Using Relevant Knowledge — Keeping up-to-date technically and applying new knowledge to your job.

Resolving Conflicts and Negotiating with Students — Handling complaints, settling disputes, and resolving grievances and conflicts, or otherwise negotiating with others

Communicating with Persons Outside Organization — Communicating with people outside the organization, representing the organization to customers, the public, government, and other external sources. This information can be exchanged in person, in writing, or by telephone or e-mail.

Documenting/Recording Information — Entering, transcribing, recording, storing, or maintaining exiting information in written or electronic/magnetic form.
