Regulatory Technical Writer
SUMMARY OF REGULATORY TECHNICAL WRITER:
National food manufacturing company is offering career opportunities to a Regulatory Technical Writer who will be responsible for data collection, analysis and reporting of formulas, specifications, and other consumer product standards residing in a Technical Information Management System.

REQUIREMENTS OF REGULATORY TECHNICAL WRITER:
• Bachelor's Degree in Science, Information Systems, or similar OR equivalent work experience.
• 3 to 5 years of database/ information management systems usage
• Business experience with product quality, food science, and food safety.
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Interpersonal skills
• Reliable transportation

RESPONSIBILITIES OF REGULATORY TECHNICAL WRITER:
• Analyze existing internal specifications plus vendor documentation to develop preliminary "purchase" specifications for Product Development review and approval.
• Research, review and interpret internal and external ingredient specification data to set purchase specification standards for various food ingredient categories
• Ensure their use within the R&D organization.
• Build and maintain "master" specifications for all ingredient categories, setting the stage for all new ingredients to be developed to these standards.
• Collaborate with Quality to establish minimum food safety standards for food ingredient specification categories.
• Work collaboratively with Regulatory Affairs and Nutrition to develop and periodically update external ingredient vendor surveys for all ingredient categories, ensuring that surveys are reflective of current regulatory requirements.
• Manage incoming ingredient change requests from Product Development, Procurement or Quality. Review requests to ensure proper cross-functional alignment.
• Work closely with other technical writers on the PDM team to adjust priorities and workload as needed in order to meet commercialization project timelines.
• Execute expedited Trial ingredient process
• Drive Continuous Improvement in Ingredient data management business processes through collaboration with the broader R&D and supply chain teams.
• Document new/modified work processes and communicate to broader ingredient data management team and internal/external customers.
• Develop and maintain internal request forms for new ingredients and ingredient change requests. Ensure the use of said forms.
• Understand and support established Fluid Premix SharePoint business process.


SCHEDULE & PAY RATE OF REGULATORY TECHNICAL WRITER:
• $30.00 - 45.00 / hour, depending on experience
• Monday - Friday
