SUMMARY OF SHIPPING & RECEIVING FORKLIFT OPERATOR:
One of the biggest leaders in supply chain solutions is offering career opportunities for a Shipper and Receiver who will be responsible for performing more complex production-related packaging and labeling tasks in a dynamic, fast-paced manufacturing environment.
REQUIREMENTS FOR SHIPPING & RECEIVING FORKLIFT OPERATOR:
• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• Three (3) years of Shipping and Receiving
• Experienced Sit-down and Stand up Forklift operator (Will be tested onsite)
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen, previous employment verification.
• criminal background check
• Able to lift and carry 30 lbs. frequently
• Must have good leadership and know how to conduct yourself at all time
• Able to perform steady work involving frequent stooping and bending
• Understands pinch points and areas of safety focus during opening/ending of
machine operations
• Good reading, writing and comprehension of English language
• Able to perform basic math functions such as add, subtract, multiply and
divide, including fractions and decimals.
• Visual acuity (including corrective vision) to read instructions, operate
machinery, and visually inspect parts produced
• Working knowledge of general accident prevention practices
• Solid understanding and comprehension of the slitting and/or filling process
• Attention to detail, and quality and safety conscious
• High level of urgency
RESPONSIBILITIES FOR SHIPPING & RECEIVING FORKLIFT OPERATOR:
• Maintain a clean work environment.
• Creates and maintains work specifications
• Participates in the contract review process by ensuring/verifying part numbers, revision levels, and other related information matches work orders, work instructions, customer drawings
• Must have great personality and customer service skills
• Safe handling of various materials, products, and inventory.
• Reads and understands more-complex work specifications with emphasis on
material callouts, packaging and labeling requirements, and dimensions and
associated tolerances.
• Must know and have experience in UPS and FEDEX
• Responsible for proper labeling of materials to ensure lot traceability and shelf
life tracking.
• Maintains proper paperwork on work orders handled and quantities produced.
• Measures parts produced to determine if parts are within customer tolerances.
• Takes proper care of all equipment; completes daily checks and entries.
• Maintains training skills on safe machine operations including safety guards.
• Follows all guidelines in regards to making sure that product/materials properly stored and secured to make sure there is no damage to client product.
• Other duties as assigned
SCHEDULE & PAY RATE OF SHIPPING & RECEIVING FORKLIFT OPERATOR:
• 6:00 am - 2:30 pm (With Mandatory Overtime) Also may have to occasionally work 2nd shift
• $16.00+ / hour, depending on experience
